Discover Rotterdam by Historic Tram: Hop On Line 10 at Eendrachtsplein
One of the most charming ways to see Rotterdam begins just around the corner from Maurits Apartments & Suites. Citytour Line 10 is the city’s hop on hop off tram, run by the volunteers of the Rotterdam Public Transport Museum, and it turns an ordinary sightseeing trip into a ride through the city’s history.
A city tour in a vintage tram
Line 10 uses authentic historic trams, some of them more than 95 years old, on a loop past Rotterdam’s best known sights. As you travel, an onboard audio guide in Dutch, English and German shares stories about the buildings and streets you pass, and the conductor is always happy to tell you more.
The full loop takes about 60 minutes and passes highlights such as Central Station, the Markthal, the Cube Houses at Blaak, the Coolsingel, historic Delfshaven and the Euromast. Because it is a hop on hop off service, you can step off wherever something catches your eye and continue on a later tram with the same ticket.
Right on your doorstep
For guests of Maurits, the best part is how easy it is to join. Line 10 stops at Eendrachtsplein, a short and pleasant walk from our entrance on the Mauritsweg. There is even a Tramhuis ticket point at Eendrachtsplein, so you can collect your day ticket before you board.
Tickets and practical details
Every ticket is a day pass, so you can hop on and off as often as you like on the day you travel. Buy your ticket on board from the conductor, paying by card or in cash, or in advance at the Tramhuis on Eendrachtsplein or at Rotterdam Tourist Information in Central Station.
